Meet Shane Jackson

Shane Jackson is a husband, father, veteran, and community banker running to represent the people of District 4 on Knox County Commission.

Shane and his wife, Amy, live in Rocky Hill with their three children: Delaney, Charlie, and Carson.

Shane is new to politics — but he’s not new to service. At age 20, Shane enlisted in the Tennessee Army National Guard where he served for seven years and achieved the rank of Sergeant.

An Eagle Scout himself, Shane shares his passion for service & honor as a Boy Scout leader for his son’s Troop 6.

Shane and Amy chose Knox County to lay roots and raise a family. Their children have attended Rocky Hill Elementary, Bearden Middle School, and West High School.

Shane pursued a career in finance to continue making an impact on our community, and he brings over 20 years of experience in banking to the table. Through his career, Shane has gained a wealth of knowledge about East Tennessee’s housing market, challenges and opportunities relating to our community’s growth, and the unique tools our local government can utilize to strengthen our local economy.

Shane continues to give back to his community through leading service projects for the local Rotary Club, serving on the board of the Bearden Middle Foundation, volunteering as treasurer for the Public Building Authority — and now, stepping up to serve the people of Knox County’s 4th District.

Shane is running to strengthen our public schools, expand our parks and greenways, plan strategically for responsible development & sustainable growth, and build a more inclusive, compassionate local government. Learn more about Shane’s top priorities here.
